Local Resident Charged with Shoplifting

HANOVER TOWNSHIP — Hanover Township Police Officer Dan Acquaro arrested Mr. Jamal Deans, 38, Cedar Knolls, for shoplifting, on Thursday, February 9.

Officer Acquaro responded to Wegmans for a shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival, Mr. Deans was detained, arrested, and charged with shoplifting.

He was processed and released.

Editor’s Note: An arrest or signing of a criminal complaint is merely an accusation.  Despite this accusation, the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until he or she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
