MORRIS COUNTY — The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) will put tickets for its 16th annual Morristown ONSTAGE talent event on sale on Wednesday, February 1, at 12:00 Noon.

Featuring the best amateur talent from Morristown, Morris Plains, and Morris Township, the show will be held on Wednesday, March 1, at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The show will begin at 7:00 p.m.

A community staple for 16 years, Morristown ONSTAGE brings people of all ages together to celebrate and discover unique local talent. The 16th ‘Timeless’ event promises to live up to its theme with 13 inspiring acts comprised of district students, residents, employees, and individuals in and around town.

“We are thrilled to announce the ticket on-sale date for our 16th anniversary of Morristown ONSTAGE, said Joelle Servais, Morris Educational Foundation Executive Director. “The show will be especially entertaining with diverse performances spanning rock, jazz, theater, pop, soul, and more, all to benefit the Morris School District. We encourage attendees to buy their tickets early to support friends and family lighting up the spectacular MPAC stage and to discover other rising local stars.”

As in years past, the finalists will compete for one of two 1st place $1,000 cash prizes – one for contestants ages 19 and over and one for contestants ages 18 and under. Additionally, $500 will be awarded to the “Audience Choice” Winner, a “text-to-vote” at the end of the show, and a $250 Rossoff Rising Star Award for talent training chosen by the Morristown ONSTAGE Steering Committee. The New York Jets Take Flight Award to the top two vocalists to lead MetLife Stadium in singing the National Anthem during a New York Jets home game.

Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center has again signed on as the event’s Headline Sponsor, and a panel of distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition. Returning as the Master of Ceremonies and host for the show’s ninth year is Morristown resident Tara Bernie.

Bernie has held the recent position of Senior Content Producer at PEOPLE (the TV show!) and was awarded an Emmy for her work as the Senior Correspondent on DailyMailTV.
