Morris County to Conduct Mosquito Spraying

MORRIS COUNTY — The Morris County Mosquito Commission will treat portions of East Hanover and Hanover Township for mosquitoes Monday morning after officials reported a rise in the adult mosquito population.

Weather permitting, crews will use all-terrain vehicles to treat wooded areas between 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on July 27.

Treatment locations include:

  • Cedar Street (Camp Hope), East Hanover
  • Ridgedale Avenue (Lurker Park), East Hanover
  • Pond Road (Brickyard Field), Hanover Township

According to the commission, crews will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains ithe active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox, depending on operational conditions.
