Vehicle Struck Trees; Left Scene of Accident

BOONTON TOWNSHIP — On March 11 at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Road and Rockaway Valley Road, a vehicle struck and took down several phone lines and damaged two street signs.

The vehicle left the area without contacting the police. Boonton Township Police received numerous 911 calls, but no one could identify the vehicle that was involved.

Anyone with information or any witnesses to the accident, please contact the Boonton Township Police Department Detective Bureau at (973) 402-4022. Callers may wish to remain anonymous if desired.
