‘Hanover Education First’ Team Sweeps in School Board Elections

HANOVER TOWNSHIP — Hanover Township District Board of Education (Grades K-8) candidates Christine Egbert, Gina Johnston, and Gregory Skiff won the three available three-year seats in the Tuesday, November 8 election, according to unofficial results released by the Morris County Clerk’s Office

The three candidates, who ran together on the “Hanover Education First” campaign slogan, will start their first terms in January.

There were seven candidates which otherwise consisted of incumbents Patricia Mattia and Kathryn McSorley, as well as challengers Evan Markensohn and Timothy Cullen.

in Morris County, there was a total of 181,864 (45.75%) votes cast out of 397,485 registered voters.

Gregory Skiff 2,414 16.71%
Evan Markensohn 1,902 13.17%
Patricia Mattia 2,298 15.91%
Kathryn McSorley 2,058 14.25%
