Boonton Road Closures for Parade on Saturday, August 31

BOONTON — The Boonton Fire Department will hold its highly anticipated annual Labor Day Parade on Saturday, August 31. The festivities will kick off promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Rain Date: Monday, September 2, 2024

Carnival: The carnival will run from Thursday, August 29, through Sunday, September 1.

Fireworks: A dazzling fireworks display is scheduled for Sunday, September 1.

Due to the parade, several roads will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Main Street and Washington Street: Closed for their entire length, from Highland Avenue to Dawson Avenue.
  • Lathrop Avenue: Closed from Washington Street to Wootton Street.
  • Exit 44 on Rt. 287 North: Will be inaccessible during this time.
  • Plane Street: Will also be closed.

Additionally, side roads in the hill and flat sections will experience closures. Please plan your travel accordingly and seek alternate routes.
