BOONTON TOWNSHIP — On Thursday, August 8, Boonton Township Police patrols responded to a call for assistance at a local business. Upon arrival, they encountered Darryl Williamson, 54, of Harlem, NY, in the parking lot. During their conversation, Mr. Williamson requested a ride to a local train station, stating he had no other means of transportation.

However, further discussion and investigation revealed that Mr. Williamson had two outstanding criminal warrants—one from NJ Transit and another from Denville for burglary.

As a result, patrol officers arrested Mr. Williamson for the warrants and transported him to police headquarters for processing. He was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Denville Police Department.
