BOONTON — A routine traffic stop on Route 10 west led to the arrest of a Boonton woman with outstanding warrants, according to the Denville Police Department.
On Friday, June 28, 2025, officers pulled over a vehicle for speeding and failing to maintain its lane. The driver was identified as 41-year-old Cherie A. Tolliver of Boonton. A credential check revealed that Tolliver’s license was suspended.
Further investigation uncovered two active ATS (Administrative Office of the Courts) warrants:
- Hanover Township Municipal Court Warrant for $2,500 (10% option)
- Hamilton Township Municipal Court Warrant for $1,000 (full bail)
Tolliver was taken into custody and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. She was later turned over to the Hanover Township Police Department and subsequently transferred to the Morris County Correctional Facility.
In addition to the warrants, Tolliver was issued multiple traffic summonses, including:
- Driving while suspended
- Careless driving
- Failure to maintain lane
- Failure to possess a driver’s license and insurance card
