Rockaway Man Arrested on Warrant Following Motor Vehicle Stop

DENVILLE — A Rockaway man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after Denville Police officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 46 East on Monday, April 27.  

According to the Denville Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle at approximately 11:47 a.m. for an alleged cell phone violation. During the investigation, the driver was identified as Nicholas Lloyd, 49, of Rockaway.  

Police determined Lloyd had an active ATS warrant in the amount of $1,000 issued by the Paterson Municipal Court. Officers also discovered that his driver’s license was suspended.  

Lloyd was arrested and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. After processing, he posted bail, was issued motor vehicle summonses, and released pending a future court appearance.  

Charges included:

  • Driving while suspended
  • Outstanding ATS warrant from Paterson Municipal Court
