DENVILLE — A Budd Lake man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash on Pocono Road, according to the Denville Police Department.
Officers responded to the area of Pocono Road at 12:11 p.m. on September 4 for a reported crash, police said. During the investigation, one of the drivers, Jamie Aumick, 53, of Budd Lake, was observed displaying signs of impairment, according to police.
Following standardized field sobriety testing, Aumick was arrested and transported to Denville Police headquarters, where he was issued the following motor vehicle summonses:
- Driving While Intoxicated (N.J.S.A. 39:4-50)
- Reckless Driving (N.J.S.A. 39:4-96)
- Careless Driving (N.J.S.A. 39:4-97)
- Failure to Maintain Lane (N.J.S.A. 39:4-88)
- Improper Passing (N.J.S.A. 39:4-85)
Aumick was released with a future court date in Denville Township Municipal Court, according to police.
The Denville Police Department’s public information release did not name the responding or arresting officer.
