HANOVER TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (Morris County) — A Dover man was arrested on August 23 after Hanover Township police reported he was found with cocaine and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

According to police, officers stopped a vehicle for weaving while conducting driving while intoxicated enforcement patrols. During the investigation, passenger Juan Rocha-Gutierrez, 31, of Dover, was allegedly found with cocaine and an angle-cut straw. He was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple traffic offenses. Rocha-Gutierrez was later released pending a court date.

The driver, Juan Olayalemus, 43, of Mine Hill, was also charged after police determined that both men had been smoking marijuana inside the vehicle. Olayalemus was cited for possession of an open container and consumption of marijuana. He was issued traffic summonses and released with a pending court date.
