JEFFERSON — Emily Schorr, of Lake Hopatcong, has been named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s All-Academic list, Shenandoah University Athletics announced. Schorr was among a department-record 366 Shenandoah student-athletes to earn the honor, announced by the conference on July 17.
Shenandoah’s total topped its previous record of 355 honorees set the prior year and ranked second in the conference, trailing only Washington and Lee University, which had 549 honorees.
To qualify for Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic honors, student-athletes must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher during the academic year. A total of 3,308 student-athletes across the conference earned the distinction.
Shenandoah University, founded in 1875 and headquartered in Winchester, Virginia, is a private university with additional educational sites in Clarke and Loudoun counties and online offerings.
