Morris Library: Summer Family Films Run Mondays

Films are Free; Seating is Limited

MORRIS COUNTY — You are invited to the Morris County library’s free screenings of recent blockbusters films for youngsters on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. Films are free and on a first-come, first-served basis. All showings are in the public meeting room. So check the schedule and come on in. Films for adults run on Friday afternoons at the library.

Decades after her original visit, the magical nanny returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael’s children through a difficult time in their lives. Starring Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw. (2018, PG, 2 hours and 10 minutes)

July 22: How to Train your Dragon: Hidden World. Animation, action, adventure. When Hiccup discovers Toothless isn’t the only Night Fury, he must seek “The Hidden World”, a secret Dragon Utopia before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first. Starring  Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, F. Murray Abraham. (2018, PG, 1 hour and 44 minutes)

July 29: Lego Movie 2. Animation, action, adventure. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. Starring  Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett. (2018, PG, 1 hour and 47 minutes)

A young boy encounters a magical garden which enables him to travel through time and meet his relatives from different eras, with guidance by his younger sister from the future. Starring Daniel Dae Kim, Rebecca Hall, John Cho. (2018, PG, 1 hour and 38 minutes)

August 19: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. Animation, action, adventure. Teen Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man of his reality, crossing his path with five counterparts from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities. Starring Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld. (2018, PG, 1 hour and 57 minutes)

August 26: Missing Link. Animation, adventure, comedy. The charismatic Sir Lionel Frost considers himself to be the world’s foremost investigator of myths and monsters. The trouble is none of his small-minded high-society peers seems to recognize this. Sir Lionel’s last chance for acceptance by the adventuring elite rests on traveling to America’s Pacific Northwest to prove the existence of a legendary creature, a living remnant of Man’s primitive ancestry, The Missing Link. Starring Hugh Jackman, David Walliams, Stephen Fry. (2018, PG, 1 Hour and 34 minutes)
