Winter Wonderland Comes to Hanover

HANOVER TOWNSHIP —The Hanover Township Recreation Department will host its Winter Wonderland from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, at the Community Center. (Rain Date: December 11, 2022). The Community Center is located at 15 North Jefferson Road.

This is a completely outdoor event. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and others will be on hand.

Visitors can wander through festive paths like Candy Cane Lane and Reindeer Road to see themed decorated houses. Members of the Police Benevolent Association Local 128 will serve cookies and hot chocolate donated by Wegmans.

Don’t forget to drop your “Letter to Santa” in Santa’s Mailbox.

Volunteers from the Whippany Park High School Interact Club will hand out candy canes donated by Elizabeth and Tom Quirk and bottled water donated by Wegmans and ShopRite of Greater Morristown.

Family pictures can be snapped inside a giant snow globe sponsored by Harmony Village of Hanover.

Children can bring a wish list letter for Santa and should include a return address.

The group singalong will welcome Santa Claus at 7:00 p.m. when the Whippany Fire Department brings him to light the tree. The event is free, and visitors are asked to register on Community Pass by clicking here.

This special holiday event is open to Hanover Township residents only.
