HANOVER — On July 13, 2023, Officer Matt Gallagher swiftly responded to a shoplifting incident in progress at Wegman’s, resulting in the arrest of two individuals from Brooklyn, NY. The suspects were identified as Ms. Mayra Hernandez-Granados, a 30-year-old, and Ms. Annie Mora-Corredor, a 28-year-old.

Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Gallagher observed the two individuals in the parking lot with stolen merchandise valued at $1886.00 in their possession. Without delay, both suspects were arrested and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy to commit shoplifting.

Ms. Hernandez-Granados faced additional charges for using an anti-shoplifting device, further compounding her legal situation. On the other hand, Ms. Mora-Corredor was charged with resisting and obstructing and being issued a motor vehicle summons for driving without a license.

Following their arrest, both individuals were released, pending their respective court dates to address the charges brought against them. The authorities remain committed to ensuring a fair and thorough legal process for all parties involved.

Editors Note: A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, the juveniles are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
