MORRIS COUNTY — On Saturday morning, August 19, a tragic collision between a Nissan Sentra and a parked Freightliner truck on Interstate Route 78 westbound in Clinton Township claimed the life of a Dover resident.
The incident, occurring near milepost 17.4 around 4:37 a.m., is still under investigation by New Jersey State Police.
Preliminary findings suggest the Nissan, driven by Kevin Notis II, 24, veered into the median before crashing into the disabled truck on the road’s right shoulder.
Notis suffered fatal injuries. Sgt. FC Philip Curry of the NJ State Police provided the details.
