MORRIS PLAINS — Ian Plott was among more than 600 students celebrated as part of the Flagler College Class of 2026.

Plott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics during commencement ceremonies recognizing graduates for their academic achievements, leadership, and hands-on learning experiences throughout their college careers.

Flagler College officials described the Class of 2026 as a diverse and accomplished group representing 34 states and 21 countries. The graduating class included traditional students, military veterans, honors students, student-athletes, and participants in study abroad and experiential learning programs.

A son of Michael and Tricia Plott, Ian also has two sisters. His father, Michael, played lacrosse at Mount St. Mary’s. During his time at Flagler College, Ian pursued studies in economics while becoming part of the college’s growing alumni network.

Flagler College awarded a total of 689 degrees this year, including Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Arts, and Master of Public Administration degrees.

The college noted that 92 percent of graduates participated in experiential learning opportunities, reflecting Flagler’s emphasis on hands-on education and real-world experience. More than one-third of the graduating class also earned academic honors.

College officials said the Class of 2026 reflects “a generation of graduates who are as capable as they are curious,” adding that students developed the skills and perspective needed to contribute meaningfully in their careers and communities.

Plott now joins thousands of Flagler alumni making an impact across the country and around the world following graduation.
