HARDYSTON — The Sussex County YMCA is closed until further notice after the branch sustained significant roof damage during Friday night’s storm.
The closure was made out of an abundance of caution for the safety of members and staff, according to the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, which operates the branch.
A roofing company has already been dispatched, and the YMCA team is assessing the full extent of the damage.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding — we’ll get through this together,” the YMCA said in a statement.
The YMCA will provide updates via social media, email and its website at metroymcas.org/scy.
The Sussex County YMCA, a branch of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, is located at 15 Wits End Road in Hardyston.
