HANOVER TOWNSHIP — Officer Josh Williams arrested Mr. Wilber Lugo-Arias, a 24-year-old from Bronx NY for false government documents on Tuesday, June 1.

Officer Williams was called to the area of Martin Road for a suspicious vehicle that had been driving around the area for approximately two hours.

Upon arrival, Officer Williams located the vehicle and spoke with the driver Mr. Lugo-Arias. While speaking with Mr. Lugo-Arias his story was not making sense. Further investigation resulted in Mr. Lugo-Arias’s arrest.

Mr. Lugo-Arias had in his possession a fake ID with an address on Martin Road and a name of a resident on Martin Road. It was later discovered that a resident on Martin Road was waiting for a delivery of four iPhone 12 phones he had recently purchased for his family.

It appears Mr. Lugo-Arias was going to intercept the delivery posing as the homeowner.

He was arrested and issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended, uninsured, failure to possess a license, operating a limo without a license or a chauffeur’s endorsement, touring privileges, and unlicensed as well as a local town ordinance for driving a limo without a license.

He was also charged with possessing a false government document. He was released pending his court date.

Editor’s Note: An arrest or the signing of a criminal complaint is merely an accusation.  Despite this accusation, the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until he or she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
