MORRIS COUNTY — Two women were arrested at a Denville pharmacy after police say they shoplifted merchandise valued at more than four thousand dollars.
Officers responded to CVS Pharmacy on East Main Street on Monday, July 20, at approximately 3:00 p.m. for a report of two individuals actively shoplifting merchandise from the store.
Upon arrival, officers located the two suspects and conducted an investigation. Police determined that Kelsey Stephens, age 36, of Hopatcong, and Stephanie Robinson, age 56, of East Orange, had shoplifted merchandise valued at more than four thousand dollars. Officers also discovered that Robinson was in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both women were placed under arrest and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing.
Stephens was charged with:
- Shoplifting in the third degree (two counts)
Robinson was charged with:
- Shoplifting in the third degree
- Possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense
Stephens and Robinson were released pending a future court appearance in Morris County Superior Court.
