Denville Man Charged With DWI Following Route 10 Traffic Stop

MORRIS COUNTY — A Denville man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 10 West, according to the Denville Police Department.

Officers stopped the vehicle at approximately 1:27 a.m. on August 14 after observing a moving violation. During the investigation, the driver was identified as Zarko Tamburin, 49, of Denville. Officers determined that Tamburin was operating the vehicle while intoxicated and placed him under arrest, transporting him to Denville Police Headquarters for processing.

Tamburin was issued the following summonses:

  • Driving While Intoxicated (N.J.S.A. 39:4-50)
  • Careless Driving (N.J.S.A. 39:4-97)
  • Reckless Driving (N.J.S.A. 39:4-96)
  • Speeding (N.J.S.A. 39:4-98)
  • Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle (N.J.S.A. 39:4-51b)
  • Consent to Breath Samples (N.J.S.A. 39:4-50.2)
  • Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test (N.J.S.A. 39:4-50a)

Tamburin was released pending a future court appearance in Denville Municipal Court.
