BOONTON — Boonton’s biggest street party is back for the fall. Boonton Day returns to Historic Main Street on Sunday, September 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., when the downtown closes to traffic and fills with vendors, food, live entertainment and local businesses.
Presented by Boonton Parks and Recreation, the free, family-friendly event is one of the town’s signature community gatherings.
For four hours, Main Street becomes a walkable open-air market. Vendors and makers will line the street, local businesses and community organizations will set up to meet neighbors, and food vendors will serve lunch and snacks along the way. Entertainment will run throughout the afternoon, and the car-free street makes it easy to browse, sample and run into people you know. Organizers describe it as a low-key, all-ages event built around Boonton’s historic downtown.
Admission is free. If the weather does not cooperate, the event will be cancelled rather than moved to a rain date, so residents are encouraged to check the forecast that morning.
