Madison Chamber holds Easter Fun Fest

MADISON — The Madison Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Easter Fun Fest on Saturday, April 13 in the downtown business district. The event was sponsored by Cleaners Advantage, Madison Bagel Cafe and TAPInto Madison.

“The event brought families from Madison and nearby towns,” said Peter Daniele, Easter Fun Fest Chairman. “Everyone enjoyed collecting Easter eggs at participating businesses while exchanging friendly greetings and spending time with the roaming Easter Bunny. It a sign spring is finally here.”

Children entered into a raffle for a chance to win a 20″ lime green Rip-Rock Specialized bicycle donated by Peter Daniele of Rose City Collision, 291 Main Street and supplied by Hilltop Bicycles | HB Madison, 14 Kings Road.

The winner of the bicycle was Charlotte Ruggiero.  In addition to the bicycle, the family received a Tulip plant, donated by  Stop & Shop,

133 Main St and arranged by Maria in the flower department. They also received deluxe car wash coupons donated by Ken Maietta, owner of Madison Car Wash, 267 Main Street.

Second prize winner received a large candy and toy filled Easter basket donated by Stop & Shop store manager, Tom Rebele and arranged by Liz.

This year’s jelly bean contest winner was Dan Mielo who received a $50 Gift Certificate to Tons of Toys, 64 Main Street donated by owner Chris Brinkofski. The winner also received a Tulip plant and deluxe car wash coupons.

Second place jelly bean winner, Isabella Haddock, won a candy & toy filled Easter basket from Stop & Shop.

New this year, by the town clock, was a colorful 7 ft. inflatable Easter Bunny that families used for picture taking.

“Each year we have more families come and join us for this fun community event,” said the Chamber’s executive director Karen Giambra.  “It’s an event we all look forward to each spring.”
