HANOVER TOWNSHIP — Hanover Township Police Officer Eric Prach arrested Ms. Maria Sidiropoulos, 50, Morris Plains, and her daughter Ms. Sophia Pavloyianis, 24, Morris Plains for shoplifting, on Friday, July 12.

Officer Prach responded to ShopRite on Hanover Avenue for a report of two shoplifters in custody.

Upon arrival he was briefed by the stores loss prevention officer who advised him that the two females attempted to exit the store without paying for $590.00 worth of merchandise.

The females were arrested and charged with Shoplifting and were then released pending their court dates.

Editor’s Note: An arrest or the signing of a criminal complaint is merely an accusation.  Despite this accusation, the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until he or she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
