MORRIS COUNTY — A Passaic woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop in Denville on Saturday, September 19.
At approximately 8:24 a.m., Denville Police observed a vehicle traveling on Estling Lake Road with an inoperable brake light. Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 53 and made contact with the driver, Vano Mchedlishvili.
During the investigation, the rear-seat passenger, identified as Katlyn Zaccaro, 29, of Passaic, was found to have an active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrant out of the Morris County Sheriff’s Office. Zaccaro was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant and transported to Denville Police Headquarters for processing. Mchedlishvili was issued a motor vehicle summons for the inoperable brake light and released from the scene.
At Denville Police Headquarters, Zaccaro was charged with the following:
- Outstanding NCIC Warrant (Morris County Sheriff’s Office)
- Failure of Passenger to Wear Seatbelt (N.J.S.A. 39:3-76.2f)
She was subsequently turned over to the Morris County Sheriff’s Office for incarceration.
