The presence of the band Stereo Jo and the extraordinary performance by Irish stepping drag queen Tina D Parton, who traveled from Ireland, added an incredible energy and entertainment factor to the event. Steven Kampschmidt serves as the Executive Director of Boonton Main Street, an organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating Boonton’s historic downtown district. Their mission encompasses organizing events, implementing advertising strategies, and facilitating resource sharing to enhance the vibrancy and appeal of the downtown area. As Executive Director, Steven Kampschmidt provides leadership and guidance to ensure the organization’s objectives are met effectively. The Board of Trustees, consisting of dedicated volunteers, offers oversight of the operations and meets monthly, usually on the last Tuesday of the month, at the BMS office on the second floor of the Boonton Holmes Public Library. Through the collaborative efforts of Steven Kampschmidt, the Board of Trustees, and the organization’s activities, Boonton’s historic downtown district thrives and is cherished by the community.
