BOONTON — Despite a powerful summer storm rolling through Boonton Thursday evening, approximately 50 supporters turned out for a Republican Council Kickoff Reception hosted by Mayor Jim Lynch at his home.
The fundraiser brought together Republicans from across Boonton to support the town’s slate of council candidates: Ward 1 candidate Mark Wrobel, Ward 2 candidate Bob Ezzi, Ward 3 candidate Rob Murray, and Ward 4 candidate Seamus Flaherty.
The evening was originally planned as an outdoor gathering, but the weather did little to dampen the enthusiasm of those who came out. With heavy rain and storms moving through the area, supporters still made the trip to Mayor Lynch’s residence, demonstrating strong enthusiasm for the candidates and the upcoming election.
The event featured drinks, light fare, and an opportunity for residents and supporters to meet the candidates, talk about the future of Boonton, and show their support for the Republican ticket.
With roughly 50 people braving the storm to attend, the evening served as an early indication of the energy behind the Republican campaign heading into the November election.
As the storm continued outside, the message from inside Mayor Lynch’s home was clear: Boonton Republicans are ready to work together, turn out voters, and compete in every ward this November.
