HANOVER TOWNSHIP — Hanover Township Police Officer Michael Byrnes arrested Mr. Sergio Granados, 31, Cedar Knolls, for criminal mischief on Friday, February 28.
Officer Byrnes was called to Justin Court for a report of an individual attempting to break into mailboxes using a pry bar and hammer.
Upon arrival, Officer Byrnes spoke with the caller who identified the individual as the resident in apartment #204, Mr. Granados.
Officer Byrnes responded to #204 and spoke with Mr. Granados who stated that he lost his key to his mailbox and wanted his mail.
After a brief investigation, Mr. Granados was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, under the influence of CDS, providing false information, theft by taking and possession of burglary tools.
Mr. Granados also had several active warrants totaling over $5000.00. He was transported to Morris County Correctional Facility pending his court date.
