MORRIS COUNTY — The Morris Township Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify individuals responsible for shooting multiple deer with blow darts. One deer was fatally shot, and the incident occurred on August 22 between 12:15 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.

The illegal and inhumane act took place around Speedwell Avenue and Max Drive.

The darts left behind pose a danger to people as well. Other deer with darts in their bodies have also been seen in the area. The suspects used a grey or silver sedan, possibly a Subaru Legacy, and may have taken photos with the blow dart gun before poaching.

Information can be provided to the Morris Township Detective Bureau at (973) 326-7480.
