HANOVER — On July 4, 2023, Hanover Township Police Officer Daniel Foesel executed the arrest of Mr. Carlos Guevarchaux, a 36-year-old resident from Morris Plains, on charges of possession of CDS. The arrest occurred after Officer Foesel responded to a one-car accident in the parking lot of the Red Carpet Inn.
Upon arrival at the scene, Officer Foesel observed a vehicle overturned, with Mr. Guevarchaux standing outside the vehicle. After conducting field sobriety tests, Mr. Guevarchaux was placed under arrest.
Apart from the possession of CDS charge, he was also issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, including DWI, open container for alcohol and marijuana, driving without insurance, reckless and careless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to possess a license, touring privileges violation, no registration card, failure to report an accident, CDS possession in a motor vehicle, consumption of marijuana and alcohol, driving as an unsupervised permit holder, driving after hours with a permit, and driving as an unlicensed driver.
Mr. Guevarchaux was released, pending his scheduled court date to address the charges brought against him.
