HANOVER TOWNSHIP — On April 2, 2026, Police Officer Carlos Najera arrested Daren Stickle, 53, of Morristown, for possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.
Police Officer Najera was dispatched to the Red Carpet Inn for a medical assistance call involving a male complaining of abdominal pain and nausea. While speaking with the individual, the officer observed signs of impairment and asked what substances he had used. Stickle admitted to using crack cocaine and requested to bring his belongings with him to the hospital.
For the safety of emergency medical services personnel, officers conducted a search of his bag, where drug paraphernalia was discovered.
Due to his medical condition, Stickle was transported to the hospital for treatment. Police Officer Najera later prepared the criminal complaint, which was delivered to the hospital. Stickle was advised of his court date and remained in the care of hospital staff.
